We worked with rapper Salmo and other collaborators on his 2021 album, FLOP, helping to bring his artistic vision to life. Using the techniques of 3D Scan and Motion Capture, we created a photorealistic avatar of Salmo for the single ALDO RITMO.
This avatar acts as the protagonist of ALDO RITMO’s visually ambitious music video, defying the laws of physics across a range of urban, natural and extraterrestrial environments.
Making art imitate life
The video itself pushed the boundaries of the music video medium, and the lifelike avatar lived on outside of it.
It appeared on buildings across Italy as part of an innovative 3D advertising campaign to promote the album.
The use of the avatar mirrors the contemporary approach that Salmo takes to his music and the captivating, high-impact results that it produces.
Creating a lasting impression
The ALDO RITMO video reached millions of impressions, and so did the accompanying behind-the-scenes video.
We made that one not just to offer a peek behind the curtain, but to give a practical insight into the advanced techniques of 3D Scan and Motion Capture that were used in the process.
This project demonstrates what we can achieve by blending creativity, technology, culture, and innovation.
Our work on the 3D ad campaign and the ALDO RITMO video proved to us that when these four elements combine, the possibilities are endless.
