Lazio Innova
SCENA
Custom Platform
SCENA is the first collaborative platform for theater production that combines production efficiency with sustainability through the use of the latest technologies.
SCENA is a Dot Beyond project carried out in partnership with Roma TRE University, and funded under the Lazio 2021-2027 ERDF Regional Program, Strategic Objective 1 - More Competitive and Smarter Europe (Lazio Innova), which involves the creation of a platform for the collaborative management of the assets and services of theaters, opera and symphony foundations and cultural production organizations.
SCENA aims to reduce the environmental and production cost impacts of the performing arts sector by leveraging advanced technologies and formulating new social and business models for CCS.
Challenges and opportunities in the theater sector

SCENA addresses the main challenges of the theatrical world with concrete and innovative solutions.
Production costs: SCENA adopts a sharing economy model to share and reuse stage materials, reducing production costs and making performances more accessible.
Asset management: SCENA digitizes the management of theatrical assets, preventing waste and duplication while improving the organization of available resources.
Environmental impact: SCENA promotes reuse and eco-friendly practices to reduce the environmental footprint of theater, aligning with the European Green Deal.
Towards a more sustainable and collaborative theater
SCENA is committed to leading the theater sector towards a more sustainable and collaborative future through an innovative approach based on three key pillars:
Digital Transformation: The platform enables collaborative management of theatrical assets, leveraging advanced technologies to facilitate resource sharing and optimization. The use of virtualization tools simplifies show production, reducing the need to create new physical materials.
Stakeholder Engagement: SCENA aims to build a dynamic community of theater professionals, where industry experts can connect, exchange ideas, and form strategic alliances. Through the platform, stakeholders can discuss common challenges and collaborate to improve production efficiency.
Knowledge Dissemination: SCENA seeks to extend the lifecycle of theatrical assets by promoting the reuse of materials and resources, thereby reducing costs and waste. By sharing best practices and adopting innovative digital processes, the project supports the theater community in implementing sustainable management models.

Learning Community
SCENA's Learning Community is a collaborative network of theater professionals who come together with the goal of sharing skills and ideas, fostering the development of CCI to improve resource management through the use of innovative technologies. One of the main goals is to create an environment of continuing education where members can learn and design new working tools.
Through these activities, SCENA intends to form a network of ambassadors, key figures who, thanks to their experience and knowledge, will be able to guide others in the sector toward a more sustainable and digitized future. This network of experts will not only contribute to the evolution of cultural production processes but also serve as a role model for more efficient and innovative resource management, promoting the transformation of the entire theater sector.
