Univaq
Univaq - University of L'Aquila
UX design, UI design, Brand Identity
The redesign project of the UnivAQ website was a true miracle of design applied to the existing structure. The goal was to breathe new life into the site's visual appearance, improving user experience and accessibility, without being able to modify the HTML structure set by the custom framework in use.
The client could continue using the current CMS, keeping content management unchanged while benefiting from a completely renewed look aligned with modern digital needs
Strategy and Work Process

The initial analysis allowed us to identify the components to be renewed, including custom variations.
Through detailed wireframing, the original structure was preserved while improving its design and usability.
The creative process included moodboards and a color palette designed to ensure accessibility, consistency with the UnivAQ identity, and a more engaging user experience.
Implementation of the New Style
Once the moodboard was approved, we developed the CSS style using SASS to ensure modularity and easy maintenance. The restyling made the header, menu, and footer fully responsive, while simultaneously improving visual consistency, readability, and interaction of all components.
A comparative comparison between the homepages shows the evolution from an outdated interface to a modern, clean, and functional design.
The new look not only enhances the brand of the University of L'Aquila, but also makes the website a true tool for communication and interaction, in line with the latest guidelines on accessibility and user experience.
A perfect balance between innovation and respect for the original layout, which turned a technical challenge into a success story.
